Q: Why should I rent your apartment and not a Hotel room?
A:  Deluxe oceanview hotel rooms in Rio are about the same price as our apartment, except they are based upon double occupancy, are much smaller, do not have kitchens, and do not provide the level of luxury or amenities our apartment does.  Also, at most Hotels in Rio you cannot entertain friends in your Hotel room.

Q: Hotels have security, how safe is your apartment?
A: Our apartment is located directly on Avenida Atlantica next to many of the large hotels such as the Othon Palace.  This is the safest street to stay on as it is well lit at night and highly populated with tourists and municipal police.  The street scene can change dramatically just one or two blocks in from Avenida Atlantica.  Also, our apartment has 24 hour doorman service, just like the hotels.

Q: What are your rules about guests in the apartment?
A: We know that you are in Rio to have fun and will make many new friends.  One of the reasons for renting a fabulous apartment like ours is to fully enjoy your vacation, including entertaining friends in style.  Therefore guests are allowed and encouraged.  We do request, however, that you personally escort all guests completely out of the building after their visit and exercise caution and good judgment before inviting someone you don't know over.

Q: Where are you located?
A: Our apartment is located at 3150 Avenida Atlantica in Copacabana near Posto 5 (Close to Ipanema end).  To view maps and see where we are using Google Earth™ please click here.

Q: How will I get into the apartment when I arrive?
A: After you make your reservation and Initial Deposit we’ll email you contact information for our on-site property manager/agent.  They will check you into the apartment.

Q: There are many apartments advertised for less, will you negotiate on price?
A: We realize that there are many other apartments for rent in Rio that are much less expensive. We caution you, however, to fully investigate exactly where those apartments are located.  Remember being just one or two blocks back from Avenida Atlantica can make a huge difference.  Also, check to see if they have 24 hour doorman service and what amenities they offer.  We provide a fully modern luxury apartment with features such as constant gas hot water, WIFI internet access, Digital cable with English channels, VIOP phone with free local & international calls, and air conditioned bedrooms.  There is no compromising quality and one always gets what one pays for, thus our prices are firm. Q: Does the apartment have a safe?
A: Although we feel it completely unnecessary given the character of our building and 24 hour doorman, YES our apartment does have a Brinks® wall mounted electronic safe.

Q: Does the rent include daily cleaning/maid services?
A: No, the rent includes the initial cleaning (before you arrive). You are presented with the condo in clean condition with all fresh linen, the apartment is self-catering.  You can further arrange daily maid service & personal laundry servcies directly with our on-site manager after you arrrive.

Q: What is check-in/departure time?
A: You may check-in anytime after 3:00 p.m. and must depart no later than 11:00 a.m.

Q: Do you allow late check-out? Early check-in?
A: Depending upon our rental schedule early check-in or late check-out can be arranged for an extra charge of US$20 for each half hour or fraction thereof.

Q: Does your apartment have a washer, dryer?
A: As we’ve said, we offer only quality luxury accommodations so yes we do have complimentary large capacity Washer & Dryer located in the service/maids area of our condo.

Q: Do you have references?  How do we know you’re legitimate?
A: You may review our past gust comments located in our online guestbook.  Also, we are members of the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association and Better Business Bureau where we maintain an A+ rating. Q:  Do you have a parking space if I rent a car?
A: No, we do not have a dedicated parking space, however it is always possible to find parking on Avenida Atlantic in front of our condo or very near for only a few Reais a day.  If garage parking is necessary we may be able to arrange this for a separate fee through our on-site manager.

Q: What is your cancellation/refund policy?

Q: Does your apartment have a complete kitchen?
A: Yes, our apartment comes with a complete kitchen including all pots, pans, plates, silverware, glassware, etc. that you need to prepare full meals and eat them in style.

Q: Do you have recommendations for tours and activities in Rio?
A: Yes, our management company is also a tourism and travel agency.  They can help you arrange transfer to the airport, English speaking tours, activities and more.  After completing your reservation their contact details will be automatically emailed to you.
